They also have homesite licenses for 3+ pcs

I don't have Norton anymore, but I just got Mcafee Total Protection 2012 if you want. Legit NFR copy.

It's their new retail consumer version antivirus. I never liked using Mcafee before because it has a big footprint, but I've never tried this new version.

i use mcafee at work and it's slow as heck... maybe it's because my work constantly pushes policies to all workstations but the computer i have at work is technically faster than the one i have at home (hardware anyways) but it feels slower because of all the scanning...

I use ESET Nod32... used to pirate it but i bought it legit from staples when it went on sale for 29.99 for a 3 comp license. Normally for 3 comps it's like 59.99 or something. I like it because it's not a resource suck... don't know if you can get it at the same price, of if you want free, you can grab mcafee off the ingram guys.

I hereby retract my endorsement of Sunbelt Vipre Antivirus. It appears GFI did to Vipre what Symantec did to Norton... turned it into a PoS.

Their latest release is horrible. They couldn't even properly size their dialog box.

do you guys really have problems with viruses? i think in my life i've had maybe one on my daily pc and one on winnie's mac because we're stupid.
other than that, i've never really had a problem.

Viruses, no. Malware, yes. That's why I liked Vipre. I liked how it handled malicious websites/ads. This latest release, though, is horrible.

I PERSONALLY don't have problems.. but unfortunately i'm not the only one using the computer...

i am concerned about things like key logging software and such. if i am doing my banking on home computers, i would just prefer to not leave it to chance.

if you do any type of peer-to-peer file sharing, it's better to be safe than sorry, you never really know who's on the other end of a given file.

And there are legit sites that become infected with malware. Sure, malwarebytes works well after the fact, but I'd also prefer some active protection.
