no, i didn't think to look at the schedule. i actually didn't even realise it until i heard yesterday that game 7 is going to be tomorrow.
we'll still go watch it, but we just don't want to watch it tomorrow where people will be going nuts.

Is it at QE or Vancouver Playhouse? What time is the show?

It might not be as bad as you think. My office is located right next to where all the "craziness" happens. I walked down dunsmuir on my way home from work during the puck drop yesterday and it wasn't that much more crowded than usual. Georgia on the other hand is where it will be packed with people. You just need to pick the right streets to walk along. Depending on time of show, I may not recommend driving though, either that or leaving early. On home games getting in and out of downtown is always slower.

i figure the game should be over by then, and we won't be heading down until 6ish anyway. but i have a feeling it's leaving downtown that will kill us.

it's actually a prequel to wizard of oz, which is kinda cool. i heard it's really good from a hundred different sources. and i was THIS close to selling my tickets to my secretary, until she found better seats at half the price on craigslist.

damn hockey playoffs.

i don't think there'll be rioting tonight though. after 94 i'm sure the city would have ramped up security like crazy. and with how well the city was behaving after the gold medal game last year it might not be too bad. i'm more worried about traffic and trying to get around the foot traffic. it's hard enough to get home when there are just fireworks but this might be a lot worse.

Not if you skytrain. By the time you leave, everyone will be trying to get INTO downtown for the party while you are trying to get OUT

yeah driving is probably not a good plan tonight. a lot of the streets will be blocked tonight. and nearby event parking is always 25+ for the night.

you are much better off taking the train.

georgia is closed between richards and cambie.

you can walk down dunsmuir for 5 minutes to stadium... may be a bit crowded.. but hopefully by then the majority of people will have migrated deeper downtown.
