Something sparkly and new that Coleen likes better.
The new LX-5 encodes video in AVCHD. We decided not to by a camcorder and consolidate both devices into the point and shoot.

lol, yeah the new canon s95 is exactly like our s90 except it shoots in hd. but we found that the lens on the s90 is nothing compared to our actual camcorder so we're just going to keep both.

Well... the LX3 already has HD recording but it's in .mov format so it actually captures less bit's. The biggest advantage of the LX5 is the ability to adjust framerate and aperature in video shooting mode. That'll make high speed shooting possible for cool slomotion videos.

ah.
what are you using to edit the avchd files? all i have is imovie and it converts it to a mov anyway.
